What does a vessel hold, beyond its physical contents?

 

Together, we’ll explore the vessel as an object of ritual, memory and time, beginning with sketches and ideas before moving into clay and creating our own unique forms.

 

There will be moments of making, observing and slowing down, including a shift from light to candlelight as we consider how light, touch and time can change the way we experience an object.

 

We’ll finish by choosing a glaze for your vessel. I’ll take care of the glazing and firing, allowing the final transformation to happen later, in the kiln.

 

No previous ceramic experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to make something unique with your hands.
